I checked out a tad before my deadline of 1pm imposed by the hotel, so I wandered up the road to the Hilton Waikiki Beach hotel and chanced my arm at getting an early check in.

I am quite pleased with myself for the amount of sleep I got overnight! I turned out the light at around 11pm and slept through to about 3am.

I was very pleased to find a very accommodating check in agent at the Hilton Garden Inn (HGI). My suite wasn't available but she found a very nice partial ocean view room on the 19th floor for me.

I occupied my room at the LAX Hilton for about 4 hours I think. In that time I was in bed for about 3 hours and asleep for about 30 mins. Not impressive after 29 hours of travelling.
