Bit scary this - my first overseas trip by air on my own! At 47! I’ve always had someone in tow to rely on for finding my way around, or picking up things from hotel rooms when I have left them, and there’s no one but myself to rely on.

The hotel hoppa buses appear to turn off their tracker as they arrive at Heathrow, which means passengers have no idea that there is a bus ready to go. Why do they do that?

A short shuttle bus to the Tom Bradley International Terminal, and we were soon heading through TSA Pre-Check. Once through, we headed straight into the Qantas First Lounge and found some relaxing recliner seats.
