We decided to take the car out in the afternoon: firstly to top up with fuel and secondly to top up at Panda Express!  Always tasty.

We then drove north up London Bridge North Road to find something to go look at.  We did pretty well in finding an short nature trail with fab views of the lake.

We turned around and headed south of London Bridge along the I95 to check out Rotary Community Park and Playgrounds, which was very quiet and relaxing.

For dinner, we had booked into Cha Bones @ 6pm, but we hoped to get a table early.  However, it’s happy hour between 3pm and 6pm, so I expect we might be struggling on that one.

We arrived at Cha Bones at 5pm and the front of house team were really friendly; recommended we get a drink at the bar; they would let us know as soon as our table became free.  We were advised about our table at about 5:30pm, so we were sat down and ready to order not long afterwards.

Our waiter was training someone new; was confident, but we were not sure he quite connected with us.  No big deal.  We ordered the blue cheese wedge as a starter to share; it came on two plates, already split into two.  Nice, fresh start to our meal.  We also ordered a bottle of Shiraz.

For main course, Vick went for the Ma Petite Filet and I went for the Prime Rib.  Since Vick wanted hers medium-well, they suggested the beef be butterflied, which was fine.  Vick thought her beef was a bit too well done in the end.

Mine was stupendous.  Well cooked; tender and tasty.  Both meals came with chef’s potatoes and roasted veg.

We saved some space for dessert.  I went for the mixed berry tart which was excellent.  Vick went for the banana dessert.

Overall, an excellent meal.  We just about managed to stumble back to the hotel, which was only a couple of blocks up the road.
