Holiday USA SW Road Trip in Apr 2022: Day 7 – Lake Havasu City

We arrived at the hotel by just after 3:30pm and we got our keys to the Studio Suite from a very friendly front desk team.  We had a briefing from the staff about the balcony and how to make sure we had our key with us if we went on to the balcony.  I opened the door to the room and left the keys on the table.  I went out on to the balcony, Vick followed me and allowed the door to close.  Doh!  We were then stuck on the balcony without a key in the blazing hot sun!  So I had to ring the hotel and ask them to come and rescue us!  How embarrassing!

After dumping out stuff, we rang around a few restaurants to book us in for the two nights we were here.

For tonight, we walked over London Bridge and went to Javalina Cantina, a lovely relaxed Mexican restaurant.  I had a couple of beers; Vick had some wine; we shared a Quesadilla and some guacamole as a starter, then we shared steak fajitas which were excellent.

Back to the hotel and we got a really good feeling for this place.  Unfortunately, what we found in the hotel room was less than ideal.  The bed sheets on one side of the bed had a significant amount of dried blood on them, which raised the question as to whether anyone had changed the sheets.

We complained and the maintenance guy came up with new sheets, pillows etc.  Hotel management offered some money off the room price.  Not sure that will cut it unfortunately!
